Sonia and Elisa's volunteer medical trip

Hello friends and family, Elisa and I are registered nurses working at Fairfax Hospital. We both share a passion for international humanitarian work and have come together to use our knowledge and medical experience to make a positive impact in the world. in addition, this medical trip will broaden our medical experience as Registered nurses. Elisa and I are teaming with A Broader View Foundation, a nonprofit organization, for a medical trip to Ecuador to serve the healthcare needs of the impoverished communities in Quito. We will be going from January 8th to January 15th, 2019 to provide medical aid to people who desperately need it. We will be volunteering 8 hours per day at a health clinic called Centro de Salud #9 under the supervision of Dr. De Toaza. Health services include physical exams, check-ups, vaccinations, and assistance with minor surgeries for 150-200 patients a day. With the funds you donate, you are not only sponsoring us to volunteer there, but most importantly you are providing money to the clinic and non profit organization itself. This will help the organization to gain further resources that allow patients to obtain the best level of healthcare possible. We are very excited for this experience of a lifetime and cannot wait to share it with you all. Please reach out to us if you have any questions, we would love to have a conversation with you about this journey. We will keep you updated on social media and show you the impact your donations make in the lives of the undeserved population in Quito. You will be actively driving change where it matters - in the lives of actual human beings. Thank you in advance for helping support our 1 week medical trip to Ecuador. *Fundraising for this medical mission trip closes on November 25th, 2018. All your donations are tax deductible.
