Hospital Volunteering in Quito, Ecuador

I guess this is the countless fundraising campaign you see while scrolling through social media. So what makes it so special? That the amount of money to buy a very simple, ?€2 decathlon torch can make a significant difference - because when the generator/back-up generator of the operating room shut down, that torch helped the surgeon finish an operation on an unwitting patient. You don't need to know much about me to know that one of my biggest passions in life is medicine. I like especially to get hands-on experience, while attempting to help others to the best of my ability. To this end, I want to tell you about "A Broader View". Through this incredible, completely non-profit organisation, when I was just 16, I was granted the experience of a lifetime (part of which I speak about above) to intern in a hospital in Nepal. Needless to say, this experience was life-altering, and I recommend it to anyone who is as intrepidly adventurous as I am! And now, another incredible opportunity has arisen: to volunteer in a local hospital in Quito for a month, the objective I am fundraising for. With the funds you donate, you are not only sponsoring me to work there, but most importantly you are providing money to the hospital itself to gain further resources that allow patients to obtain the best level of healthcare possible. By reading this, you are growing aware of a dream; but by donating you can not only make this become a reality, but you are actively driving change where it matters - in the lives of actual human beings.
