Esther's Public Health Volunteer Trip

Healthcare remains one of the difficult issues with all developing countries and Ghana is no exception. For this reason and as a public health graduate student, I will be volunteering with Ghana health service (local health center) through A Broader View Volunteering Corporation in the spring.
This project will be an opportunity for me to learn and gain real life hands on experience in Global health. I will be working directly with my preceptor as I put what I have learnt to practice by providing community health outreach education including symptoms, treatment, and prevention of malaria, HIV/AIDs etc.
The clinic I will be working for is low on supplies (gloves, masks, scrubs, bandages) and this fundraise actually goes towards that. Even though I am a Ghanaian from other region and visit frequently, this time will be different because my focus will be on OTHERS.
